New York-based artist Daniel Bozhkov is featured in a new episode of our art podcast, The Artist Speaks, which aired today. Bozhkov created the Cosmic Cucumber Carousel, provoked by entrepreneur Elon Musk's ambition to colonise Mars and his prediction that by 2050 there will be 1 million settlers there.

The new initiative of the Capturing Creativity platform is called Говори артистът (The Artist Speaks) and is a joint production with the Говори Ѝнтернет (The Internet Speaks) podcast network. The action takes place in the studios of rising and established names from the sphere of Bulgarian contemporary art, where a wide range of topics are discussed in direct conversations - from the challenges in the artists’ work to their favourite music.
Author of the podcast idea and conversation host is Margarita Dorovska, and co-hosts are Elenko Elenkov and Vladimir Petkov – Kaladan (ГЍ). Rosina Pencheva is co-producer and photographer.

Impressive photographs from a Capturing Creativity project inspired a composer for new music

Rosina Pencheva's photography project House of Culture – Visual Preservation inspired Bulgarian composer Dimitar Penchev, who lives and works in Canada, to write music for it. Dimitar Penchev is known in theatre circles in Bulgaria for his two nominations for Askeer, with the second one winning the award for Epic Times by Yordan Radichkov at the Pazardzhik Theater.

The project encompasses architectural heritage, contemporary music, video and photography. "House of Culture - Visual Preservation" aims to promote one of the architectural masterpieces of the city of Gabrovo - the House of Culture "Emanuil Manolov", before its renovation. The theme brings together cultural organisations and artists in the common task of creating video and photographic content that presents the unpopular interior of the popular building, paying attention to its outstanding cultural value.

Rosina Pencheva, a photographer and "ambassador of Gabrovo" in her own words, participated in an episode of the documentary video series Future Unforgettable - Communities, a curatorial gesture within the interdisciplinary project FUTURE UNFORGETTABLE. The documentary series, filmed in the summer of 2021, maps existing and nascent artistic communities in the cities of Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Varna, Plovdiv, Sofia and some of their surrounding areas. Concept author of the video series is cultural manager and curator Veselina Sarieva, and the episodes themselves are the work of documentarian Vladislav Sevov.

The media provides visibility to creative products by promoting them in its channels with a wide audience - television, website and social networks.
