Descendants of five generations of carpet weavers reinterpret the classical motifs of the world renowned Chiprovtsi carpet, which was recognized by UNESCO’s, and is also featured in the Homo Faber Guide, included on the recommendation of curator and Homo Faber ambassador Rosina Pencheva.

The newest Bulgarian addition to Homo Faber is the Ornamento atelier, located in the Pazardzhik village of Boshulya. The atelier specialises in hand-crafting cement tiles using traditional technology with natural pigments, high-quality cement, marble dust and marble.
Ornamento is part of the increasingly prominent Bulgarian presence in the elite catalogue of Homo Faber - an international movement for contemporary craftsmanship of the Swiss Michelangelo Foundation. Rosina Pencheva is an ambassador for Bulgaria in the movement, whose ambition is to map artisanal talent on all continents.
