From March to May 2026, Nevena Ekimova is an artist in residence at LKV in Trondheim, Norway. During her stay, she will develop a new site-specific interactive project titled BRAID, which will unfold at BABEL and remain open for collective creation throughout the exhibition period. This marks an important step in the international development of one of the contemporary artists collaborating with Capturing Creativity.

2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the international contemporary crafts scene—with the fourth edition of the Homo Faber Biennial in Venice, and with the presentation of creative works produced through the educational programme Homo Faber Fellowship during Milan Design Week. In parallel, an open call has been announced for the Young Ambassadors Programme 2026—an opportunity for students and recent graduates who want to work with audiences in the context of one of the leading international events dedicated to craftsmanship and handwork.
